Our Wines

Sweet White Wines

Ice Cider: Golden colored, richly flavorful, great apple aroma. Sweet to start, but the sweetness evaporates from the tongue leaving you wanting more. We use four times more apples to make a barrel of our Ice Cider than it does to make a barrel of standard hard cider.  Note that it has a higher alcohol content than most wines or ciders too, at 14 percent. So sip slowly and enjoy its velvety texture.

Birch Wine: Perhaps the rarest wine in the United States. An homage to Albany’s Dutch colonial heritage. Made by local farmers using a 1736 recipe. Birch wines are still popular in Europe, but we are currently the sole U.S. producers of this elegant beverage. Made by hand, only on our 1730s farmstead. Feather-light body, golden color, and crisp dry finish. Flavor carries notes of juniper, mildly reminiscent of the finest dry gin — but with no bite. Take a sip of local history!

Red Blend: A dry, full-bodied blend of Corot Noir (see above) and DeChaunac (see below). Bold flavor meets a velvety texture. Named in honor of a frequent visitor to the farm house, who thumped away for hours at the winery window to get our attention during our first day of production. He comes back periodically to visit.
